Release date - seriously: Jo has said she is writing the book; she recently said in a Tatler interview that she has already written a character's death. She said on her site on Christmas that 2006 will be the year that she writes the last Harry Potter, leading many to speculate that the book will be done as the year ends, or even before. Fans have been speculating since the release of book six that the seventh will debut on July 7, 2007, or 7/7/07. As this is about 10 years since the release of the first book, it's Harry's seventh year at school, and Jo has made many mentions of seven as a number with many magical properties, this is a theory that has gained a lot of speed in a short amount of time. Jo has not commented upon it; she did say in the TLC/MN interview that she thought it would take her about a year to write, which would put her finish date around 2007.
